A simple drill to practice checking.
Two rows of players at the top of the circles. Forwards against the boards, Defense just inside.
On whistle Player 1 with puck and Defense skate towards the goal line with pace.

Defense checks Player 1 to boards - no boarding.
Player 2 picks up loose puck and skates in on goal.

Player 2 shoots - 1 shot only no rebounds.

Player 1 & defense clear zone behind goal once player 2 has shot and join lines doing the same drill at the other end of the rink.
